Elite Fight Night Russia debuts in Russia

Bangkok, Thailand – October 11, 2011

The Elite Boxing Group has successfully launched its newest event series with the debut of Elite Fight Night Russia. Organised by Elite Boxing Russia—the recently established Russian subsidiary of Bangkok-based Elite Boxing—the inaugural event in this new muaythai series was held in the 1,600-seat Tyumen Circus Arena in the central Russian city of Tyumen on September 8 and marks an exciting new milestone for the EB Group as it continues to penetrate new markets.

Following its successful launch, EFN Russia will be held every three months at the same venue. The series takes over from the popular Ice Storm muaythai series which was previously held at the same venue until it was acquired and rebranded by Head of Elite Boxing Russia, Stanislav Bukhlov.

Each EFN Russia event will be filmed in HD and distributed to 180 countries around the world through Elite Boxing’s network of broadcast partners, including ESPN/Star Sports and Eurosport. After the success of the opening event, EB Russia is also now in negotiations with Russian cable TV channel The Fighter to broadcast future EFN Russia events to its 28 million subscribers.
